Waking up to signs of Fall, I’m taking my morning walk.Noticing a bounce in my walk, tons of thoughts are passing me bye, trying to rent space in my already crowded head. I try not to engage with them individually as to not create more stress and unnecessary drama. Ali the Afghani coffee vendor blows me a kiss, and says – “The world is in such a mess, did you hear the news?” I drop my attention to my chest and open-my-heart-just-a-crack-to-the-breath. Breathing with more ease, I have an insight that says ‘raison d’être’ “What’s your reason for being this morning?” Excited about the question, I enter the chamber of my soul, where you need not over-think but be vulnerable & true.Feeling lighter and grateful, Presence is speaking through breath & music, nature & rhythms-aligned-in-beauty. “Listen to the song of your soul”, I hear a whisper of joy.Trusting the journey, I start to shake like a hummingbird and awake. Soon after, I bump into Mary Lou, and the look she gives me confirms that “It’s OK.You Can Love All The Way”
“Who am I?” “What is my reason 4 Being?” those are great questions to frequently ask your breath with curiosity & wonder, without necessarily knowing the answer in your head. They can make the journey of your life richer, more meaningful, more present and more resilient.
