There is a truth that’s not just a concept, a perception or a justified reaction. A truth that’s born out of loss & pain, struggle & suffering, but when you find it, it makes sense of everything. A truth that can kick your ass and feel like it’s killing you, but then it sets you free. A truth that’s loving, kind and compassionate, stronger than death and light like a breeze. A truth that’s earned by your experience, and is not defined by your circumstances. A truth that refines your soul, gives you back your innocence filled with grace. A truth that feels like ecstasy in the body, Peace in the mind, Ease in the breath, A widening of the heart, A quiver in the soul, Infectious with inner beauty. The truth of your being makes life worth living for, and you can celebrate your struggles be your authentic self and dance with abandon.
The truth about the struggles is our struggle with ourself and with life. It’s like adding insult to injury. Yes, life is filled with loss, pain, disappointment and setbacks, and denying it is denying reality. But, when you look closely and honestly at your struggles you will find that the most painful struggle is with yourself. The question is – “do you want to do anything about that?” Because if you do, and you’re willing to face the truth that’ll set you free, you’ll discover that under the question “What are you struggling with now?” there are several layers.
* There is the mental story you tell yourself, and everyone who wants to listen to you about your struggle. (The trauma-based-ego-fear-narrative, that’s etched in the brain and never much changes)
* The body-centered-truth as in – “I feel a constriction in my chest”…
* The emotional-vulnerable-truth – “I feel scared”…
* The truth of the breath – “I feel a tightness in my inhale”
When you tell the truth about these layers, and open your heart to the breath in the moment, and
breathe as one, you can celebrate your struggles and dance with abandon and be free.
