A couple of years ago, Rich & I took our relationship as teacher and student to another level of collaboration. Rich became the webmaster of The BREAZE, and we had many ideas, one of which was to make it possible for people from all over the world to breathe together. I recorded a five minute meditation and Rich build a special application in which at 7:00AM & 7:00PM (EST) the audio would go off automatically and be accessible to whoever showed up on line. After the project was accomplished, I had many more ideas, and let that one go. I think I went to the GYM 4 the SOUL a couple of times, always marveling at how beautiful it looked and what a great idea it was, but never doing anything to promote it.
Fast forward, yesterday morning I spoke to Rich & found out that his mother was in the hospital and that her doctor said it was a matter of days. Rich asked if we could breathe together before he went to visit her, and when we spoke later in the evening he sounded calm. We decided to meet at 7:00AM & breathe together this morning @ the GYM 4 the SOUL. I felt humbled by the timing. Forty years ago, when I recovered from a year long depression, I vowed to follow life’s timing and not my own. Today, I call it following the pace of the breath rather than the pace of stress.
When I went out this morning for a walk and looked at what happened overnight in front my house, and that the cherry blossom that was bare all winter is now in full budding, I was reminded again that sometimes natures way and our ways don’t meet, and that “life is the only teacher, and being just this moment is compassion’s way”.
I would like to re-invite you to Join us in breathing~love & sending good~energy to Rich & his mother, daily at 7:00AM & 7:00PM. http://www.artistsofliving.com/gym-4-the-soul/
