Yesterday, I started to have the sniffles and felt a summer cold coming on. Of course, my knee-jerk reaction was – “what’s wrong?” & “who is to blame?” (mostly pointing the finger at myself…) On my morning walk I focused my daily practice on making sure that I don’t give away my power or abandon myself – for nothing! (not even for the tempting belief that having a cold is “a bad thing”, and that “I caught it from someone”, or “Brought it on myself”. Remembering that these are un-healing ways of perpetuating self-victimization, which I don’t care to join, regardless of the fringe benefits -:). I’ve been having a cool time taking care of myself and making myself feel comfortable, breathing~love in 2 my fears & discomforts. You can be a Courageous-Celebrant of a cold.
