“On your birthday, we went to a restaurant of your choice. You ordered a salad and I had two glasses of cranberry juice. We were having a conversation about ‘the truth’ and ‘taking care of ourselves’, regarding an email I received earlier in the day, which upset me and hit my dragon of “not being valued”. I felt clear and grateful, happy to pay the bill, when you said that ‘this sadness’ came over you of ‘not feeling special around your birthday.” (I was so tempted take the blame for not making you feel special on your birthday, but at this time I didn’t have to go there -;)”
Being true 2 yourself, is an act of kindness to yourself first, which you are willing to make sacred & celebrate – sometimes against the odds of your ‘dragons’ (faulty beliefs of why life is not to be trusted). Getting out of isolation, and partnering your care with the breath (or a higher power of your choosing). Opening our heart & making space for the ‘dragon’. Letting go of ‘struggling-to-be-the-victim-story’. Having compassion for the ‘inconvenience’ this is putting you through. Celebrating being the truth that makes you feel free, joyful & @ ease.
Being true 2 yourself is a special gift you can give to yourself on your birthday and every day. It can also make the world a better place.
