and if you are, have compassion for yourself…” This is how I felt this morning, after a weekend full of opportunities to abandon myself, and as many opportunities to take care, breathe~love, and have compassion for myself. I don’t know of a fear greater than the fear of abandonment. When I used to go to synagogue as a child,
it used to scare me how much fear of God abandoning us there was in the prayers. I’m not sure why we need to put our fear of abandonment on God, but I have a idea. “Lets put it on God, so we don’t have to deal with it ourselves.” Dealing with it ourselves starts with being aware how we abandon ourselves inside our own head. When you have a loss, a set back or an upset, are you aware of a voice in your head going off and saying – “This is unbearable”. “It must be my fault!” “Who can I blame?”. If you find yourself secreting self-abanding hormones, know that you can always take care of yourself. Breathe~love, celebrate & heal your abandoning-self.
