Love Of Life – Fierce Presence – Celebrating the sacred now
The idea of meditation as a healing investigation of thoughts & feelings with the goal to reduce stress, anxiety & depression – appealed to me from the moment I heard about it. But it took forty years of practice & mostly failing to meditate in the traditional way to develop The BREAZE – a moving meditation of maintaining love-of-life, fierce-presence & sacred celebration-of-now. Discovering that meditation can be a Self-caring journey & a life way of exercising responsibility for our mental & emotional health. That the chatter in the head is a disturbing anxiety concocted by fear & shame, and that it is our job to clear it. The clearing often happens by opening the heart & breathing compassion into the anxiety. And that compassion can produce a fierce presence. Consciously choosing moment by moment, breath by breath to be whole rather than to be right. Being willing to open your heart to the breath 20.000 times a day (which is as many breaths we take) & breathe Love. Entrusting your thoughts & feelings & surrendering them to the breath rather than to Self-doubt & stress. Accepting the breath as your higher power and finding your safe & sacred place inside the pulsation of your heart & @ the pace of the breath, where your frightened thoughts & anxious feelings transform into the wisdom of your being.
