When I woke up this morning I thought – “What can I do 2 start the day consciously?” and I heard my mother’s voice saying in Yiddish – “Zei A Mentch” – “Be human, a person with honor & integrity”. I took a couple of gentle~breaths, and breathed~love particularly 2 my inner-refugee, who always feels a little anxious, worried & lost, in needs of some TLC -:) Then I looked at my Facebook page & saw a video entitled “20 insults in 60 seconds” starring Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, and Donald J. Trump/ GOP debate
I had a visceral reaction of fear & embarrassment when I started watching the video, so I took a couple of more gentle~breaths, and continued scrolling down the page until I saw another video about a chimp walking a dog over a mote and pulling it through it’s fear. It was so funny & human that I put it on my F.B page & wrote ” If these two were running 4 office – I would vote 4 them in a moment without flinching -:)”.
I went to the gym and as I entered the mens locker room, I heard the same video from the GOP debate on the flat TV screen and I overheard two men arguing about whether it was cool to play such a video in a public place where people come to work out & relax. One of them referred to the video as “psychic pollution” and it sounded right on to me. I later found the following quote from Eckhard Tolle: “The pollution of the planet is only an outward reflection of an inner psychic pollution: millions of unconscious individuals not taking responsibility for their inner space.”
I feel that at this time in history we’re all refugees of one thing or another, trying to protect a threat to our existence and a historical attack inflicted on our soul. Who in the world today can say that the soul of his people was not attacked, raped or assassinated at one point, and that it didn’t pollute his psyche & affect her mental & emotional state? The challenge is getting caught up in denial, victimhood & blame, and making our psychic pollution the responsibility of others, and keeping spreading it. When the truth about our psychic pollution is faced & embraced in partnership with the breath, we can move through it, take responsibility and celebrate our lives. “At this time in history, we are to let go of struggle and do everything in a scared manner & in celebration” Hopi Message
