There is a zen story about a ferocious rat that threatened the neighborhood, and that no cat was able to overcome. After a thorough search of the land, a wise old cat was found, and when the rat saw it, it just surrendered and laid motionless at the old cat’s feet. The mystery question is – how did the old cat ‘do’ it? What power did the old cat have access to? and of course – “How can I have access to that power?”
The power that’s accessible 2 all of us – is the power & of love. Breathing love now. It is a power that Rumi refers to as – “Sitting in my own place of patience, and what I need flows to me without pain. From this I understand that what I want also wants me, is looking for me and is attracting me. There is a great secret here for anyone who can grasp it. ”
What’s “The place of patience’? (patience – סבלנות in Hebrew literally means suffering, carrying, enduring, tolerating…) What’s the ‘great secret’ Rumi is referring 2 & how can we grasp it? Trusting that we are love. Opening the heart & breathing with ease… moving with grace & making space… being grateful & celebrating the moment…. coming home 2 yourself & b r e a t h i n g l o v e n o w.
